VCU Alumni is proud to foster education and recognize the academic achievements, community and university involvement, and outstanding potential of students by offering a variety of scholarships to qualified candidates.

VCUAA Legacy Endowed Scholarship
The VCUAA Legacy Endowed Scholarship supports meritorious incoming legacy students. It is awarded to incoming students who:
- Are legal children, grandchildren or dependents of a VCU graduate
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
- Are incoming freshmen applying for their initial fall semester at VCU or an incoming student on the MCV Campus
VCUAA Endowed Honors Scholarship
The VCUAA Endowed Honors Scholarship is awarded annually to a student in the Honors College majoring in a subject that leads to graduation from the Monroe Park Campus.
MCVAA Legacy Scholarship
The MCVAA Legacy Scholarship school-based scholars are recommended by each of their respective deans in recognition of academic excellence, leadership and/or service to the community and the university.
African American Alumni Council scholarships
The African American Alumni Council awards two renewable scholarships
The AAAC Rodney A. Harry Leadership Scholarship was named after one of the organization’s most accomplished leaders and longest standing president, Rodney A. Harry. This award supports students who demonstrate leadership, community service and academic success. It is awarded according to the following criteria:
- Full-time enrollment on the Monroe Park Campus
- Pell Grant eligible
- Demonstrated academic performance
- Preference is given to students who have demonstrated interest in, experience with and/or a commitment to African American heritage. Examples may include (but are not limited to) academic coursework, volunteer activity and student organization involvement.
The AAAC Merit Scholarship is awarded based on the following criteria:
- Full-time enrollment on the Monroe Park Campus
- Pell Grant eligible
- Demonstrated academic performance
- Preference is given to freshman students who have demonstrated interest in, experience with and/or a commitment to African American heritage. Examples may include (but are not limited to) academic coursework, volunteer activity and student organization involvement.
